March 2, 1959 ~ August 31, 2026

On Monday, August 31, 2026, Perry, loving husband and father of 2 passed away at the age of 67.
Perry was a Chattanooga Native, graduate of Notre Dame High School where he made many lifelong friends. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force. In 1984 he married the love of his life DaVonna and began a journey of love, travel, and laughter that lead to the birth of two beautiful daughters, Somer and SaVanna.
Perry loved his family. He treasured his wife, children, son-in-law, and granddaughter and embraced every moment with them. He made time for experience with his family in other words memories matter. This spilled over to his friendships that truly proved Perry made you feel like family.
Perry worked as a salesman for Bobcat and Mid-South Equipment Co. Meeting Perry wasn’t just a business deal it would be the beginning of a friendship for life. He had a vivacious personality and always made people around him laugh. To know him was to truly love him. He was a servant, Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, and true friend. Perry loved the game of golf. Spending many hours not only playing but coordinating fundraisers with his church family. One of his favorite things was sitting down to a good meal with family and friends. Many a good laugh, prayers and tears, were shared over the years across tables but never without those grilled jalapenos.
If there is one thing about Perry you should know is that he loved the Lord. He loved worship. He was dedicated to his choir family. Throughout the years he served on many boards and prayer teams, and he truly had a servant’s heart. He was a member of Redemption Point Church of God.
Perry will be truly missed. There will be a missing piece in our puzzle. Perry truly had a hope in our Savior; Jesus Christ and we can only imagine the reunion he is having at this very moment.
Perry was preceded in death by his father, James Lee Mason, brothers Bill Mason and Steve Joe Kinzalow. He is survived by his mother Sue Landers, wife DaVonna Mason, his two daughters, Somer Tirey (Hunter) and SaVanna Mason, and granddaughter Shelby. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
