Margaret “Luvonia” Fann

Luvonia Fann, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Luvonia was the loving matriarch of her family. A woman of strong Christian faith, Luvonia loved her family deeply. Always smiling, she brought warmth, love and joy to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hiram Fann, and her oldest daughter, Sandie Maher. Luvonia looked forward to joining them in Heaven and reuniting with loved ones who had gone before her.

She is survived by her children, Tony Fann (Julie). Brenda Irrizary and Robin Brunson (Scooter); her stepsister, Bonnie Broadus and her son-in-law Pete Maher.

Her children and grandchildren will honor her memory by carrying forward the Love, strength and lessons she shared.

Luvonia will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Saint Judes Children’s Hospital would be mom‘s wishes.

She will be returned to North Carolina to be buried with her husband, Hiram Fann.
