Charlene Parker McClendon was born in Jasper, TN to the late Martin Luther and Louella Parker. She was a graduate of Marion Co. High School. Charlene lived with her late husband of 31 years, H.A. McClendon Jr., in TX and NC before settling in Chattanooga. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, riding motorcycles, cooking and traveling. Charlene was a great spoiler of dogs. She was terribly funny, sharp, generous, tough as nails, and a proud instigator. Charlene loved her 3 grandchildren, Maya, Wil, and Violet, more than anything.

Charlene was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Parker.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda McLain, Mary Berry, Thelma Elder, and brother, Mose Parker; son, Dan McClendon and three beautiful grandchildren, to whom she will always be remembered as Nini.

Charlene is deeply loved and missed by her family.
