Edith Anne Radlein Pippin, 79 of Hixson, TN, passed away from this life, surrounded by her family, on October 7, 2026.

She was born in Chattanooga, TN, and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Anne Joerger Radlein. Edith was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County. She graduated from City High School and Chattanooga State Community College. Edith retired from TVA as a Computer Programmer and Analyst for numerous years. 

She was a Christian in the truest sense, always putting others before herself and was generous to a fault to anyone in need. An avid reader, she could often be found curled up with a book and hot cup of coffee or tea.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Joel; children, Eric, Alan (Danielle) and Amanda; grandchildren, Ethan, Jadyn, Samuel, Emerie and Knox; brother, Steve Redlein and several nieces and nephews.

Per Edith’s wishes, no service will be held and the family will have a private burial.

If you are compelled to honor Edith’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association would greatly be appreciated by the family.
